Dirty Pour Paintings ~ Fun workshop and Flames too!

Dirty Pour Paintings Workshop! The exploration with color and additives!

This Dirty Pour Workshop was so much fun! Each individual chose their own palettes, explored the various additives that went into the paint, learned how to make instant alterations and modifications creating a rather impulsive take on painting!

It was really interesting to see the exploration of colors, how they would interact with one another, how mica powders affect the mediums as well!

The amazing things with acrylics is the diversity, they are so organic in comparison to oil paints in the sense you have so many options out there in order to manipulate the material. I will be curious to see how the surfaces are altered at all with a subject in the foreground or just left as is.

Yes that is a torch, which creates really neat effects when combined with acrylics and silicone! You can see the paint actually change and move!

It is interesting how the colors actually interact with one another and tend to resist the tendency for making a muddy palette!
